That kid and this game has been unreal. Is this kid draft eligible?

Looks like he misjudged it and recovered making it look better than it was

That is no doubt an amazing play, but I'll take the play by the LSU 1b vs Wake last year. That was unreal.

Jim Edmonds had a dozen of those, but the timing does make it special

I don't think he misjudged it. He had to play in because of the situation. And the ball was tailing from left to right (left-handed batter). That combination is not easy to handle.

Yep. Watch the ball coming off the bat. You can see how he could have bad angle on that.

It was a remarkably amazing defensive play in a clutch moment. I think the announcers are getting caught up in the moment, though, it's not an all-timer. Great play - no doubt. Best play in the history of college baseball - no.

Reminds me of the Gary Matthews Jr catch I saw live at the Rangers game years ago.

Still the best I’ve seen in person

Saved their season in the moment but the more I watch the replay the less impressive it gets. Really looks like he misjudged it then got lucky and trapped the ball between his glove and body.

Sure a great moment but the catch itself was almost botched.
