It’s inexcusable for someone who is supposed to be an elite coach, this deep into his tenure with that roster. The truth is, Dabo is a glorified wide receivers coach who benefited from elite coordinators and generational quarterbacks. This is reality.

Elko.
Dude ran the #3 defense in the nation at A&M. He’s young, smart, and at the top of his game.
He will be dangerous at a power house.

Clemson just doesn’t have talent anymore. I mean they have nobody on offense besides Shipley

Clemson turned the ball over a bunch in the deep red zone and missed fgs but Duke also made plenty of mistakes. Duke was simply the better team. Clemson has no explosive threats on the outside. None whatsoever. They probably would've been better off just handing the ball of to Phil Mafa every play. Duke looked a lot better coached and their QB is kinda a stud.
Ya hate to see it.

Duke played their arse off, left everything out there.
Was awesome.
Was awesome.

They had some serious lightning in a bottle with the elite coordinators and QB/WR/DL combos. Also, Scott was an elite talent evaluator. They're missing that now. To Dabo's credit, "lightning in a bottle" type stuff (AU 2010, LSU 2019) doesn't usually lead to TWO NCs. He was able to milk it for that much. That's all over, though.

And even Shipley. He's a "nice" player. A solid All-ACC type. But, he's not Etienne or one of those skill position freaks that they had from 2015-2020 or so.

Kirby choking off all of Dabo’s direct lines to GA talent.

Also true.

Not completely. Clemson has beat UGA on some GA talent still.

Duke has some athletes.
They had some good transfers, but this is not 1984.
The modern passing game helps even things out.
Dabo is a little old fashioned. Turner is a starting WR. Giving a friends kid a scholarship is on thing, starting him is another. Kid flat dropped the ball.
Duke looked faster than Clemson overall.

And don't forget Dabo refuses to use the transfer portal to bring kids in...

At least some Clemson fans are realistic:

We got blew out by duke...
Nothing else matters.
Duke blew us out...

Clemson can’t pay a 60 million buyout when also trying to leave the ACC
