Chips are down: Is there really anything wrong with corn dogs?

I never quite understood this whole thing. Corn dogs are great. Cornbread, hotdog, on a stick.
In my youth I would try to see how far I could down a corndog in 1 bite, but subsequently choked on it mightily.
Stuck with the mini corn dogs ever since. All the goodness packed in a bite sized morsel of yum.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with corndogs.
However, that nickname was clearly given by someone who has never been to an LSU tailgate. I can tell you, we are not warming up frozen corndogs.
Boudin would have been a much more accurate name.

I think it all started from some dude that wrote an article about how inside the stadium it smells like corn dogs. I also see or smell nothing wrong with this

It's not that LSU fans are eating corn dogs.
It's that LSU fans themselves smell like corndogs. It's just their natural greasy swamp musk.

Well you really should stick with the smaller ones until you train yourself to get past the gag reflex. There are training aids. I’m Texas Guy, just ask if you need help.
Best way to enjoy a Corn Dog is Aggie Style. Stick a corn dog through a hole in the wall you carved with a pocket knife. Enjoy without the worry of somebody looking at you as you eat it.

Corndogs are great for the young (specially with mustard and beer) but as you age, they do not age well with you.

Haven't had one in awhile but they're damn sure tasty. As said above, it's about the smell of LSU fans more than anything.

Corn dogs are excellent. Especially the State Fair brand. Slather on the mustard. There, I said it.

It was some Auburn fan I think after the 2001 game maybe? It was also basically a copy and pasted bit about Nebraska that they just replaced LSU with. Leave it to Auburn fans to resort to plagiarism but I do find it funny that it stuck with us for some reason. I laughed at the Katy Perry bit on gameday

State Fair food is awesome, never tastes as good when you try at home.

Some Auburn fan after they played Iowa, who referred to the Huskers as Corndogs

On an old message board, an Auburn fan copied and pasted some rant that an OU fan made about Okie State fans, removing any reference to Okie State and replacing it with LSU. It is easily the most unoriginal form of plagiarism I have ever encountered on these here interwebs and that's saying a lot.
LSU fans, who take great pride in cooking and tailgating became agitated with the absurdity of smelling like corndogs. Fans of other schools saw how agitated most LSU fans, so they chimed in despite how ignorant it made them appear for the sheer joy of seeing LSU fans annoyed.
Thus it has remained, all because an Auburn fan was too dumb to come up with something original...

Your team can’t handle another team pushing back.
You are used to getting up a couple of TDs early.
But teams like FSU and A&M last year ran right at you and pushed back and your players quite.
So nothing mechanically wrong. More about culture and mental toughness.
