What’s your excuse for wimping out of that bowl game against Kansas?

It is forced and y’all have kicked our asses for quite some time which is why I don’t consider it a true rivalry. I just don’t get too high or low about the outcome of the game and that is a sign that it isn’t a rivalry.
It’s what they gave us when they took away the LSU game to end the season which is the real letdown. That LSU game gave some great memories. I just don’t hate Mizzou and probably never will.

I don’t hate Arkansas like I do some other SEC teams. I hate Florida, Auburn and Alabama.
In fact, my second favorite game that I ever saw in person was the 3OT loss to Arkansas in 2007

My time in St Louis no one knew anything about Arkansas. Illinois was more of a rival. I enjoy winning each year but by the time game is played there is nothing to gain.

Arkansas and Ole Miss is one of the most underrated rivalries in the SEC. We're neighbors. Our records are close. The games are usually close. There's a mutual respect and dislike for each other. It's organic and I've loved watching it develop over the years.
Due to proximity to Eastern Arkansas, the games in Oxford give a closer option for some of their fans that don't get a lot of opportunities to see their team play. So they bring a good crowd.

The only true rival those losers have is basic hygiene.

I consider Ole Miss to be a healthy rivalry instead of a hated rival. The only team I really hate is Texas. Love to beat LSU but I love hanging out with their fans.

LSU/Arkansas Football isn't more real than LSU/A&M football.
Before Arkansas moved to the SEC in 1992 the last time y'all played them was in 1966.
At the time when Arkansas moved to the SEC(1992) the series history was at 37 games total between them and LSU
At that same time(1992) the series history between A&M/LSU was at 45 games, mostly OOC
Just felt like sharing some data.

And yes, I consider Arkansas a rival. It’s a fun one, not a bitter one
Love the competition with A&M in football, although it's been pretty one-sided of late.

Exactly. I’m not sure it can be called a rivalry with how one-sidled it’s been.

For Mizzou they are not our rival. Rivalries take time and they are a natural rival as they are close and have similar historical success as football programs. The games in football have not been the type of games to fuel a rivalry. South Carolina games have been more those type of games but nothing else besides having the same city name. As all know the only real rivlary is with kansas and to an extent Nebraska and Illinois.

Only in baseball due to the pedigree of both programs. The Battle for the Golden Boot in football was a forced "rivalry" when they joined the conference.

100% agree. Baffles me we haven't played each other hardly at all. Has the makings of one of those mutually cordial rivalries written all over it.
Looking at the history... The regular season games basically stopped when Arkansas joined the SWC and Oklahoma left the Mo Valley and joined what was then the Big 6.
I know there was some Mo Valley rule that did not allow Oklahoma to play Texas in the 1920s. OU played Arkansas in 1926 and that was the last game. Arkansas was new in the SWC and Oklahoma was in their second to last year in the Valley.
I know that in the 50's through the '80s one reason Arkansas never played OU is because they were already playing Oklahoma State and Tulsa pretty much every year. Tulsa in particular was a natural rival based on proximity despite the fact that they were outclassed. I also know that Arkansas got both of those teams to play in Arkansas probably 80% of the time.
Obviously OU would have only been willing to do home and home.

I gotta be honest. One of my favorite feuds here is between Arkansas and Missouri fans.
