His and Johnsons are fairly close though. Would like to see Engram with a full year. He already had more TDs after his 8 games then Johnson got all year in 13 though.

Johnson nursed injuries last year as well -- and saw passes from 3 different QBs -- as well as having another 4th yr TE playing alongside him before getting hurt(Brandon Hill), a blocking TE(Rufus Warren), and a true fr hybrid that emerged late(Artimas Samuel). Johnson also caught 3TDs as a freshman.

Anyone claiming any clear superiority between those two at the current point in time are simply pushing an agenda...

Except for the fact that they weren't actually any better than Johnson's

Per games played, yes they were.

He literally scored double the TD's that your best TE scored. Literally....that isn't a claim or a theoretical situation. He played 5 less games than Johnson and scored more.

and we played 4 TE's last year.

And we had Donte, Treadwell, and Sanders as our 1,2,3 WRS getting the most looks....which completely blow your 1,2,3 WRS completely out of the water.

I hope for at least 5 more pages of TE depth arguments.

Dak had an equal amount or more yards receiving than your next two tight ends did the entire season. He also had more touchdowns than both of them. Johnson was your guy.

Depth wasn't exactly a blessing for us at TE last year

Yeah once Engram went down we didn't really pass to the TE any more. Parker did catch that one TD though.

Y'all are debating about the most insignificant position on the field...

Engram might be better, but we are much deeper

Not going to dispute that. We have like 3 tight ends.

Fullback would be the most insignificant, sir.

Ole Miss and State arguments are always random as hell and great.

Also Johnson is a Jr and been in that system for 3 years. Engram is a FR and came in making a vie for FR AA. If not for the injury he probably would have had it.

wrong....at least in our case. Engram plays a very significant role in our passing game. he's our main guy in the middle that allows for more space on the outside. When he went down against LSU, our offense sputtered.

You could even see it against Troy. Engram was a huge key for us.

Sorry that Mullen isn't smart enough to utilize the TE position and effectively waste 1 out of the 11 guys on the field. 14 if you're Tennessee.

Nutt had one. Jason Cook is the last fullback I can remember for us and that was five years ago.
