A lot of good coaches are 0-3 against Bama and Ohio State the past decade or so.

Cool. So there should be nothing to worry about.
Why does Brian Kelly own so much real estate on this board?

And Kelly still has a losing record to Michigan.

No, I meant there should be nothing for you to worry about with Brian Kelly at LSU.........except you started this thread.
That must he why it smells like bitch in here.

This is not hard, stop overthinking it. LSU has been a top 10 program the last 17 years with coaches who at best could be described as mediocre. The LSU program has lacked consistent structure during that time. Brian Kelly is a top 5-10 coach the last decade plus, whose calling card is organization and structure. As long as LSU lives in the top 10 in recruiting, which it appears they at least will do that and likely higher, Brian Kelly will be very successful at LSU.

LSU's last three HC's have all won NCs, so it shouldn't matter who LSU hired, amirite?

There's an extremely basic logical flaw with your statement.

The win didn't count. 2020. Covid asterisk season. Just ask an LSU fan about 2020.

Cool. At LSU, it doesn't matter who the head coach is (last three won championships). Chances are yours would have a considerably better record at LSU than at your school.
Brian will be fine. He's the most credentialed candidate LSU has ever hired. He'll be the fourth consecutive head coach to win a title here.

It seems Josh Pate is being proven right

Your point?
Either a) it doesn't matter who LSU's coach is because anyone can win a natty there or b) LSU hired a good coach who can lead them to a natty - which his lack of hardware and lack of success against Top 10 ranked teams and Top 10 talented teams would suggest otherwise.

Maybe at your school, they are mutually exclusive, but at LSU, they are not.
