Its a shame the Sooners aren't on that list too.
They have the 2023 #27 & 2024 #29 picks in the past 5 drafts.

Not their fault elite QB's like Payton Thorne are overlooked.

Outside of Cam Newton, they havent had an offensive skill player drafted in the first round since Cadillac Williams.

You mean to tell me all those great players recruited by Gus in his later years and Harsin didn’t get drafted in the first round?

Just wondering, who would be considered the best player from Auburn in the NFL right now.

Derrick Brown probably.
I would think his NFL career has been pretty disappointing for a first-rounder, somewhat due to injury.

You disagree that Brown has been a disappointment for the Panthers?
He has 3 sacks total in the past three seasons.
Derrick Brown stats
Looks like he had one good year, that's not a great return on a first-round pick.

Well, he played part of 1 game in 2024 before getting injured for the season. No need to be disengenuous about it. He had 3 sacks in 2 seasons really. His position in the Panther's defense also isn't one that is designed to generate a lot of sacks. Generally, your nose technique isn't your sack leader.
He had a good 2022 season and a very good 2023 season, earning pro bowl alternate and then eventually invited to the pro bowl when Donald was injured. He set a new NFL record for tackles made by a DT in 2023. I'd hardly call that disappointing.

When I first looked at the title I thought someone was having a happy hour on steaks and beer. I was like, point me there!

When you pick a guy 7th overall, you are hoping for more than just 1 pro bowl alternate season. I didn’t say he was a bust, just somewhat disappointing for where he was picked. Chase Young went second in that draft, has made one Pro Bowl, and I think we can all agree has been a disappointment.

So, you're telling me that if you draft someone in the top 10 and within their first 4 years in the league, the reach a pro bowl, set an NFL record for tackles in a season, and are graded out as a top 5 player at their position in the league, that is disappointing?
