ND would probably be better off without Leonard, when their backup went in tonight he cooked the PSU defense 
I would still take UGA with Gunner over playing SMU, ASU, Boise St or Clemson any day of the week

You Forgot that Notre Dame did beat Texas A&M and USCw. Did LSU beat USCw and Texas A&M? Nope! That would have gotten LSU in the playoff. Notre Dame took care of those two teams. LSU didn't and that is why LSU isn't in the playoffs and Notre Dame is the better team.

Transfer portal made the ND team and playing Penn St in the semi finals got them into the NCG.
This ND is nothing like the ND teams 4 years ago, better speed and strength with a little depth.
And remember Penn St really messed up on play calling in the 3rd quarter and the last 1 minute of the game.
Penn St had a free walk into the semi final game, where as ND had a real game.
Congrats to ND!
