Better content- On3 or 247?

I've used 247 for years, but curious if anyone has tried both and sees an upside to one over the other.

I’m currently subscribed to both. Once On3 got up and running, it became apparent that it is vastly superior. They took all the best talent evaluators and content creators from 247Sports and have improved some of the weaknesses that CBS refuses to address.
It’s almost an identical situation to what happened to Rivals once 247Sports started. Rivals was stuck with the leftovers and quickly became irrelevant.
Once my subscription to 247Sports runs out, I’ll be sticking with On3.

It might depend on which team you follow, but LSU's On3 site is putting out a far better product these days.

Good call. I'll ask on the AU board.

I go to WTS for all my recruiting news. Premium subscription.

I think that will continue to be the trend.
The vast majority of the big dogs in the industry have moved on to On3. There are some individual writers who have loyal followings that either decided to stick with 247 or weren’t offered a chance to move. Other than staff loyalty, I can’t name many reasons to stick with 247.
Kirk McNair (UA) and Phillip Marshall (AU) are good examples. Kirk wasn’t offered a job at On3, and I don’t think PM was either, but both have loyal readers who will stick around just to read their old man ramblings.

On3 was started by Bobby Burton, who basically helped start 247, cashed out, and had started rivals I believe. That horn has cashed out twice and is on his third site.
I like on3, their insiders seem more plugged in, I trust 247’s ranking over On3. And I hate Bobby Burton bc he always has a stick in his butt about something Aggies did. He has a decent podcast on YouTube tho.

Yeah our On3 site poached Shea Dixon from our 247 site, and Shea is the best we have on our end in the recruiting business.

I believe Burton was considered a “founding partner” of Rivals and 247Sports, but Shannon Terry is the brain child and founder.

Better do that since Auburn might not have a good coverage on On3 than 247.

They're all just playing the guessing game.

I think it probably depends on the school but for Texas it's On3 and it's not even close.
