Auburn's tailgating is hurt by that, and it just varies too much. For huge games in great fall weather it'll rival any other SEC school. Sometimes it's just too quiet and spread out though.
I was surprised by how reserved Auburn was. Fun, but in more of a quiet, pleasant way than a rowdy way like you see more in Athens.

Auburn is more about family because we are God's favorite team. Sorry about your drinking problem.

The overall tailgating scene there is pretty typical I suppose, but one day I'd like to tailgate inside one of those caboose trains parked outside of SC's stadium...looks pretty damn cool IMO.

LSU/Bama/UGA are all at the top. Fla tailgating blows. Aub and MSU are about the same - generic. Havent been to Arky, A&M, SC, Tenn.

It's a solution, not a problem.

LSU first.
UT's is really fun too. I always check out Market Square, go down see the Vol Navy, then head to Neyland and find my way through a very congested orange crowd.

First thing he posts is on Ole Miss. Please don't ever change. State has a GREAT tailgate....also so many things to do when the game is over

I've been to Georgia, auburn, Bama, and LSU so can only really comment on those.
If I had to rank those, it would be
1a- Alabama
1b- LSU
2a- Georgia
2b- Auburn
I've had a blast at all of them. I like the diversity that Tuscaloosa offers when it comes to tailgating. You have the quad for the traditional tailgate scene, the fraternity houses for debauchery and scenery, and the strip for the bar scene all right there on top of the stadium. LSU is fun but it's like a sprawled out wilder version of the quad. Again, great time and they go all out, but you're sort of limited to that festival atmosphere. I like being able to bar hop in Tuscaloosa, or at least having that option.
My times at auburn have been around the RV tailgating scene. Always a good time but more subdued than Bama and LSU. I wasn't able to go too hard in Georgia but noticed a lot that were, the setup reminded me more of LSU, but the topography near campus wore my arse out.

ALWAYS enjoy going to LSU...even though AU hasn't won there since 99. I pretty much concede the outcome of the game and tailgate all day with my wife's friends. GREAT food and great times. A few "tiger baits" but never any issues.

The Junction at State is the best centrally located tailgating that is in the shadow of a stadium.
LSU is ok but everything is just scattered around with no central hub. Been to Florida and I was not too impressed.
Bama is decent. Had fun there.
The Grove has a great rep but it is too jammed up and loud nowadays. You can barely hear yourself think much less carry on a conversation.

Had a buddy play baseball for Ole Miss a couple years back and he said the grove is highly overrated.

Our tailgating sucks. Not for lack of want, but because the administration has made it a priority to shutdown tailgating for decades. I don't understand the rationale, but it is extremely frustrating. The result is that tailgating at Mizzou is scattered around an enormous area, with many popular spots nearly a mile from the stadium.

That is A&M's problem too. Not the admin, but the area of tailgating. Have tons and tons, but it is all over the place. Some close, some far, and all in all different directions.

logistics is absolutely awful. parking awful. total space is awful. I will say that I have been to a couple of concerts in the grove long time ago and they were fun. as a tailgating scene it is terrible. I've been multiple times and have not been impressed... granted the msstate experience is not the same as it was 10 years ago which was terrible. it is exponentially better now I'd recommend all give it another try if you haven't been in the last 5 years.

I've been to both. LSU is head and shoulders better than Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is just a less classy version of SMU boulevarding.

1) LSU: Borderline crazy, but energy and food is the best I've experienced.
2) Bama: huge tailgating scene and lots of options. More chill, but more approachable than LSU.
3) Ole Miss: elite in the grove, can hang with anyone. Slightly stuffy, but the setups were amazing.
4) UGA: was fun but seemed very spread out. Bars were next level and if included would make them elite
5) USC: cabooses and lots of energy, but stadium location hurts the ranking
6) AU: was elite but the energy seems to have dropped off last few years.
7) UF: we were setup at a fraternity and it was legit, didn't see much of the rest of the scene. It was hot and I was hungover so I might be low on this one
Can't rank the rest.

The joke around Athens is that every where is uphill.
One of the great things about Sanford is the stadium sits in a natural valley right in the middle of campus, and actually is the dividing line between North Campus and South Campus. The bad thing is just about everywhere you go after the game will be uphill.
