I agree. The software behind this site leaves a lot to be desired.

It's really going to hurt your feelings when you come to the realization that Deboer and his staff may actually be better in game coaches than some Saban staffs. I think Deboer running the offense and letting the defensive staff handle that side of the ball may have better resu

The high profile OC that Deboer wanted chose Seattle though right.

Stop stooping to minimizing Saban's staffs just because you are irrationally feeling giddy.

You think Saban had some of his better staffs in the last few years of his career? I'm willing to bet someone could comb through posts on here and find plenty of Auburn fans talking about Saban getting old and citing his inability to keep top level assistants the last few years.

No one else acknowledges it as a championship.

Because no one else won dipshit. That's why. Bama is hated from coast to coast and north to south and all you stepchildren look for any reason to put an asterisk by their accomplishments. Here's a news flash....Saban certainly deserves credit for the resurrection but he didn't build Bama. All you losers thinking Bama will now fade into obscurity are setting yourself up for disappointment.

It's called research and documentation. Try it sometime when speculation and conjecture fail you.

I've included links to the big word definitions so your small brain doesn't have to work too hard.

If you intentionally use words that you think someone doesn’t understand you are not a very good debater. And being condescending is a horrible tactic for trying to convince someone to see things your way.

Have fun doing research. Be sure to cite your sources.

You need to check the context man, for starters this line:

Alabama hasn't dropped off in rankings

They're at an on3 avg. ranking of 90.69 as of this post. That would be good enough for the 8-15 range in 2024. Deboer needs several 5 stars or else that's where you'll finish.

The recruiting rankings are not some end all be all to recruiting.

Nobody is arguing that, however things like blue chip ratio and roster talent are very, very highly correlated with championships. Just logically...you wouldn't argue that one can coach a group of JV/high school footballers to beat an NFL team. They're bigger, faster, stronger and that kind of advantage simply can't be overcome at a certain point.

Coaches know this, that's why when you hear "he got his guys" it includes 4 & 5 star targets, because everyone wants them.

There are still a lot of uncommitted 5 stars. And there will be several 4 stars that see a bump this fall. What do you want to bet that Alabama ends up with at least one 5 star signee?

Hes still riding Saban's coat tails. Dude has to produce results like Saban to keep it up.

All the 5* talent under Saban got enough into the NFL to make it look like Bama was making them and thats helping him alot right now. Let Bama drop off next year and see how fast the media deem it was all Saban and recruits quit looking at them the same.

If he can win like Saban did, congrats, you've got a good coach.

I dont think he will, because no one can.

Alabama currently has more 4 star commits than any other school with 13. If you look at total number of 4 and 5 star commits, here is how it looks according to On3.

1: Ohio State - 14
2: Alabama - 13
3: Georgia - 12
4: LSU - 11
5: Clemson - 11

If you look at overall class, Alabama comes in at third. If you look at it by average Alabama currently comes in sixth. The narrative that some of you keep trying to peddle, that Alabama is struggling at recruiting, is humorous at this point.

It's June. 247 has only 11 5 stars and On3 has only 13 5 stars.

I agree that the average on On3 would be around 8th(no idea where you get 15th), but at the same time I'm decently confident the rankings are going to adjust over time.

For reference, last year Alabama and Georgia both pulled in 5 5 stars each on 247 which is only 1 off how many they currently have total.

Currently Alabama has more recruits and is ranked higher than usual. We'll see how many of them turn into 5 stars before the year is over.

Not when you are coaching at a school like Washington. It's like getting laid, you have to know your limits.

Do you think Saban was a shitty recruiter at Michigan St and just an average recruiter at LSU?

Two 5 stars committed to Bama yesterday (a CB and WR.) Keelon Russel will get the 5 star bump after winning the elite 11 MVP. A 5 star OT is projected to Bama.

But maybe you're right. The sky is falling. Bama done. No Saban = Bama fricked.
