A lot of that has to do with the away teams. Your away schedule is much tougher than ours (Rupp arena and Cameron indoor). SEC makes sure to give us an easier schedule than the rest of you. ;)

I find it humorous, just like when Tennessee fans claim that they’re a blue blood in footbal

Tennessee is no Bama or Georgia but their program sells itself. They should always recruit well and mostly did so even under the exile years.

I love it.

This is a feel good story for all little people out there. Arky football, State football, bama basketball, and so on.

As long as Stephen is our HC then yes. It would basically be what Painter was to Keady.

So some Auburn fans want Stephen when Pearl retires?

All of my Auburn friends don't really care for the younger Pearl and hope Auburn does an outside search when Bruce does hang it up. They also think that Auburn has elevated its position in the bball hierarchy and can get some good names interested where Stephen would be settling.

It seemed like a pretty universal opinion among my friend group so I assumed most Auburn fans felt the same way.

Our road schedule does not have Knoxville, Gainesville or Fayetteville on it…I’d say we got a better draw this year on the road. Tamu bama and Kentucky are our toughest venues and half of Coleman will be in orange.

Ticket prices at Stegeman should tell you all you need to know about Auburn basketball. We basically will have 3500 in the building tomorrow and I’m contemplating going over today and staying tonight. Our fans travel.

Yep. The demand he demand to see Auburn play has been extraordinary over the pasts several seasons. It’s cheaper to see Auburn play on the road because other fanbases don’t have the demand to see their team play like Auburn does.

One third of the crowd tomorrow in Athens will be Auburn fans.

I am partial to bringing in Bucky Ball as he played and coached at Mtn Brook. He’s a damn good coach and going to be a hot commodity.

Stephen does a lot of the recruiting. Stephen does even more of the scouting/game planning. I have no problem with him taking over when Bruce steps down.

I know this kid and you still took the bait.

Auburn was the cessiest of cesspools. Bama was the world's tallest midget.

Now both boasts girth.

I truly hope State football can come to this spotlight. I feel bad for them.

I think most fans realize that there’s likely a handshake agreement that Stephen will be the next HC when Bruce retires. I am not sure they will go out of their way and call him “coach in waiting” but I think most fans see it coming.

Not in love with the idea but it makes sense. You keep continuity in staff, booster relationships, recruiting and Bruce’s system. He’s proven to be our best scout and has been given more and more responsibility the last few years. Players and recruits love him too so that definitely helps.
