Not really, I imagine the NCAA burden of proof is different and they could just talk to ESPN about what they saw on the video, and get a transcript of their interview with the broker.

True, anyone can extrapolate. Maybe he did it (which seems plausible). But that tape isn't a smoking gun.

The NCAA just WISHES they had rumors of recordings of Cam talking about rims. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

neither will likely... a broker would ruin his career by selling out one of his previous clients.
If he went public... Which he wouldn't need to. Schad just fricking said that this guy tried to sell the video to ESPN

everyone thought "the money was too much . . " was a smoking gun. Nothing ever happened. If TAMU has the Lightfoot firm nothing will happen. They will tell the NCAA to prove it then tell everyone involved to STFU. NCAA has nothing.

I agree which is why unless someone buys these tapes and blasts them all over the media nothing ever comes of it

One of the 6 Core Vaules at A&M....let's see if they hold themselves and Johnny to it.
Integrity - Character is destiny.

That's not necessarily true. Lightfoot will mitigate the situation and likely reduce the punishment, but they also represented Tressel and Penn State. They can't simply work magic if evidence comes out.

everyone thinks they get everyone off, not the case. they have failed several times as well

They obviously have something. Now proving anything is a totally different ballgame of course.

yes everyone did the day it came out. Kirk and the ESPN gang said a very damming story was going to be released the next day and it never happened

He kinda already has cooperated with the NCAA by showing a 3rd party that video. Seriously, he shows the video to friggin ESPN and then acts like he's not a snitch and that he's got JFF's back. Whatever homes, you're just trying to get paid.

Sell and video to a media outlet (one he was taking personally) and sitting down and doing an interview with the NCAA are two totall different things...
TBH, I a little surprised ESPN didn't bite on buying the tapes... ABC/ESPN/Disney are worth how many billions?

AND...they are hired to protect A&M. Manziel is not their client.
At this point, even worst case...A&M is not in trouble. They'd hate to lose JM. But, ruling him ineligible will not cost A&M any NCAA problems

I don't remember it that way.

Maybe they recorded themselves listening to the recording. Schad got burned the last time he "heard" the tapes.
although, you would think that if there was anything really worth putting out there ESPN would have ponied up for the tapes.
I used to work in tv news and know of stations buying footage from people. My station bought video of cops shooting a bank thief for $800 and then turned around to sell it to a bigger network for $5000. And that was just for a vid of justifiable use of police force.
