Saw the last Meadowlands Army Navy game in 1993. TV doesn’t do it justice and it should be on everyone’s bucket list.

A few years during the Army/Navy pre-game prayer, the chaplain said “this is the only game where everyone on the field would die for everyone watching.”
That’s how important this game is.

Maternal grandfather enlisted in the Army in 1918, was waiting to get shipped to Europe when Armistice was signed. Spent WWII as an instructor at West Point, retired a full bird. Both of his sons were Army, the younger one was a lifer. My wife’s first cousin is a retired Army nurse, he served in Kuwait in the ‘03 Iraq Attaq.
My paternal grandfather was the oldest enlisted sailor on his destroyer in the North Atlantic campaign. My dad’s oldest brother, who was the first member of the family to attend API (Auburn, that is), was commander of a nuclear submarine. My father-in-law was a flight surgeon.
To top it off, my wife is now a civilian veterinarian on a Navy base - but she’s employed by the Army.
So I can honestly say my loyalties in this game are equally divided

Attending this game is on the bucket list.
Recommend it highly.
Went to the 2016 game in the snow in Baltimore.

Wish Trump would be at the game. He deserves to be.
