That is great to hear. Now you shouldn't have an excuse not to get a top 10 recruiting class. I like the charity work they will be doing unlike A&M. Those clowns will clock in at the family YMCA and workout.

We need common sense NIL control.

Essentially it’s an NIL organization that will financially benefit players while the players have community driven efforts rather than just advertisements or endorsement deals.

This is a good idea.
It's a flat out horrible idea and not close to the intent of NIL.

This is a smart work-around to some of the restrictions, which will allow Walmart and Walmart Foundation and Walton Family Foundation (if they care to) to donate to a tax-deductible charity.
This is probably the best-case scenario for Arkansas. There's huge money donors, but not a lot of "product placement" opportunities because they're all national brands.
The Hunts are billionaires, they just get lost in the mix since there's so much wealth in NWA.

From an agnostic standpoint, its actually better than the typical NIL deal.
Charities get awareness and service, players help with causes they believe in and get exposed to philanthropy and its impact.
There's more value to the community and the student-athlete than doing a radio commercial for a car-dealership.
If anybody is mad, its because Northwest Arkansas is a hotbed of philanthropy dollars and skimming a little smidge off the top for NIL payments is minor.

Honestly I expect other programs to adopt something similar to this. Some of the very well to do might not be super keen on donating to an athletic department... but a high profile charity deal? Suddenly some check books might get opened.
And it does provide more value to the community than, say, a used car dealership commercial.

At the moment div one has a better free agent market than the NFL. No telling how college football will evolve in the future with a free market.

This is actually a good use of NIL

Damn I should have excelled in sports so I could get rich on these nil deals get some that walmatt money or maybe Tyson foods would give me money and foods if I would be a bad arse in some sport.

I've always said that if Arkansas companies found a way into the NIL we could become one of the top teams in the SEC year in and year out. Looks like I'm about to find out.. especially when Wal Mart enters. Big money in Arkansas.

I hope they take care of baseball as well. That could be a game changer for a lot of MLB caliber kids.

I agree that the plan is a GREAT idea for our athletes.
What we need, though, is for the Waltons to funnel some of their "hard-earned" billions to the organization. Same goes for the Tyson folks. The Stephenses in Little Rock, too, though they may be all in on Little Rock at the moment.
There is plenty of money in NWA to fund a competitive NIL program for Hogs. Question is will those folks pony up for athletics?
And, of course, Jerrah needs to figure out a way to send his bucks, too.

This is laughable.
Ya really think these "boosters" GAS about the "community" or some bogus charity?
LMAO! It's about buying CFB players period.
It's the same as that bullshite "pancake" charity Texas set up to buy OL.

When does Jerry Jones start getting into the NIL stuff? I could see him bankrolling a few players.

yes and no. By handling it this way, there is a PR aspect publicly and makes the "buying of college athletes" much more palatable. Plus the tax savings to boot.
Genius it is....

It's MUCH better. Symbiotic for all involved- the players, the companies, the charities, and those in need that they help. Win/win/win. We may not have the best recruiting territory, but, we border ALL the talent and we have more billionaires than most schools.

Is Stan Kroenke gonna setup an NIL fund for Mizzou? They need it.

You know nothing about where a ton of money is spent to enhance NWA and our campus honestly, and that's OK.
