Anyone else like announcer Dave Neal?

I actually like when his on Football and basketball broadcasts. With all the fools ESPN has moved up the announcing lineup, why hasn't Dave Neal moved up. He always seems to be calling the lower tier games. Old JP and now SEC Network with the mostly crappy 11:30 am football games and less than desirable basketball games.

I've known Dave since the late 90s when he basically took over for Bob Kesling, who I really didn't like at the time, still don't. They were like two different people. Kesling was and is a total asshat. Dave is just a great guy ... one of the real good-guys in the business.
Kesling went to UTk to take over for John Ward and Dave Neal stepped-in to Kesling's place. That had to be around '98-'99 or so.
Dave Neal is the nicest guy associated with SEC media, bar none.

I've always liked him too. He's a helluva lot better than the clowns they have on there now.

I must say the Football pair of Dave Neal and Andre Ware is pretty damn good. Too bad they get the shaft of the 11:30 shite game every week.

I like Neal and Ware too. They should've at least gotten a chance at the primetime SEC Network games before Musberger and Palmer.

One thing holding back the Neal-Ware duo is that Andre is on the radio broadcast for the Houston Texans on Sundays

Kesling is a moron. He is not a Vol and is a random national announcer who shows no emotion for the home team. Homer radio guys should be homers.

Didnt care much for Dave on the Jefferson Pilot older 12:30 football games. I like Neal and Joe Dean....Deans voice is 110% southern and I picture him on a plantation being served mint julips by frosty sweet servers and frilly dresses.

I miss the Three Daves. Practically every Ole Miss game from 1996 through 2006 was a JP game.
