This happens all the time with just about every channel and provider.
It’s a contract negotiation they aren’t agreeing on. One side wants more money than the other is willing to give up.
Billionaires are fighting billionaires, basically.

Yeah but the average poster here always blames the provider. Pretty good position for Disney. People cancel in droves over a channel that Disney pulled off DirecTV demanding more money.
Once the cancellations start, (insert streaming/cable company here) has to pony up. Then they just pass the increase onto their subscribers

I have direct tv streaming. When I cut the cord I chose it over YouTube tv bc direct tv streaming has Bally for Braves and Hawks game.
Just signed up for a free 21 day trial of YouTube tv so I can watch LSU/USC, Braves on espn tonight and US Open. All blacked out on direct tv as of a few minutes ago.
If direct tv doesn’t figure it out in 21 days I’m out. YouTube tv plus a bally+ subscription will be about the same price I’ve been paying anyway.

Remember when sec network came out and xfinity wasn't going to carry it at first? Those were some heated email exchanges

Your best bet IMO.
We previously had DirecTV streaming and YouTubeTV has been significantly better. The app flows much better. The multi view for sports is great.

YTTV is great. You won't go back. Multiview, unlimited DVR, Library, etc. And just 79 bucks all in.

Uverse, too.....since they're all owned by the same people.
Also, no workaround with streaming.

I have a grandfathered directtv stream pricing plan from the launch in 2016, and it includes Bally.

Anyone with directTv deserves it at this point. Too many good alternatives out there. Youtube TV, Fubo, ect.
You realize that there are quite a few people across the US that don't have access to traditional broadband or good cellular data coverage and thus have to rely on a satellite solution like DTv, Dish, or Starlink , right?
I'm sure you also realize DTv offers a competitively priced YTTV styled streaming package too, right?

I still have ABC, where I'm watching this game. I guess it isn't tied up in the dispute.

My ABC is down as well.
Direct TV Stream was the best cable I’ve ever had. And I got it for a great price because I have AT&T fiber internet.
This sucks. I guess I have to find another TV service tonight.

Can't believe people still use dinosaur media services.
I use them because my Internet is through AT&T. It comes out about the same to just use DirecTV as opposed to some streaming services (which keep increasing their prices year by year).

People should be blaming Disney for their greed. They are trying to make up for the losses from the woke crap they are turning out that is losing money.

Yeah but you still have to buy Internet from somewhere. And they won't give you a decent price unless you buy their TV service along with it.

Out here in OKC as well. All ESPN channels are blacked out. We are getting the game on our local ABC station, surprisingly. We have Uverse. We don’t watch enough television to switch to the abundance of streaming services. How convenient in time for the college football season.

Depends on where you live. I have Fiber for $50.

Who still uses Direct TV??? The boomers?
Direct TV stream is sold with AT&T fiber. So lots of people locally have it.
It has Bally sports for Braves and hawks, YT didn’t. You can also have two households split cost, so 45/55 each.
Just canceled and got YT though screw Bally
