I think the game will be just like the LSu game, whichever team has the fewest mistakes and can make a big play or two will win a close one. Neither team will get blown out. But after this weekend, id have a hard time betting against Auburn. Even through i think if Bama beats LSu, Vegas will have them as the favorite.

I still believe alabama is the better team, but if you're comparing how auburn played against lsu to how auburn will play agaisnt bama then you really do not understand what rivarly games are.
There is a reason someone always says "throw the stats out the window when these two play." It's an old cliche, but terribly fitting for that series.

Actually LSU had the fewest mistakes in that game and still lost. They got all the calls and turnovers were even. Special teams is the only thing that kept that game close.
LSU's defense, from the games I have watched which has been most of bama's and LSU's, LSU's defense looks way faster. Not to mention they are much stronger up front, better in the secondary, and more experienced. I'm tired of hearing the Nick Saban scheme crap. Nick Saban knows how to recruit talent and wins off of it. Great coaches don't have losses to La. Monroe and UAB on the resumes from when they are coaching at major SEC programs. Not to mention failed NFL careers. He has the talent now they are just young.

Bama has to get through tough games at LSU at night and MSU before thinking about Auburn.Hopefully we win out and the Iron Bowl is for the West.Until then Auburn is in the Driver's Seat.

Alabama had better be worried about LSU and State. Auburn had better be worried about Ole Miss and Georgia.
Bammer vs Barn will be decided by less than 6 points like it almost always is......

Auburn takes their bye week before Alabama.

A lot will come down to the front seven. LSU's front seven isn't all that big when you examine them (by SEC standards) and it looked like Auburn was able to push them around, creating holes for Cam and the RBs to exploit.
Bama's front is significantly bigger, and just as talented. Cam will probably get at least 100 yards rushing, but that won't be enough against Bama. Cam will have to pass to win, and I'm not sold on his ability to do that against a team like Bama.
I'm hoping both teams win from here on out, because it would make this year's Iron Bowl the equivalent of the 2008/2009 SEC CGs where they were considered defacto NC games. Hell the Iron Bowl is likely going to be 10x more eventful than the actual SEC championship.

Saban is a great recruiter. One of the best ever. He is a good coach, but you think he invented the 3-4 or something?? He doesn't do anything a thousand other coaches haven't done. Your 3-4 looks a lot better when your defense is filled up with 5 stars. He didn't recruit talent in the NFL, why didn't he win there? He had average talent his first year at bama, how did he do that year? Why couldn't he scheme his way to something better than a 7-6 record?

ok..another thread about a team whos got the answer how to stop Cam Newton and that high powered offense..I thought LSU D was going to do it..??? WHAAAA happened???
Please..No defense on this planet has the ability to stop CN..The question is...IS your offense good enough to keep up with them..can you score?? because you know AUBURN is gonna score..

I think its Auburns turn this year. The force is strong in this one. I'm picking AU.

This game will be a WAR IMHO.

quote:You make some good points. Auburn did wear down an undersized LSU line on both sides of the ball. And Bama does match up better in the trenches. Thats gonna be one hell of a Alabama fight! But you all are right about both teams having no easy task in their next two games. Life in the SEC huh.
