Woodward- Lost to LSU
Bjork- Lost to OSU
JIMBO- fired paying king’s ransom to go away
Shloss and whole staff bolt for UT

I mean after all of this you can’t just chalk up to bad luck, right?

There has to be more there, there.

So what is the problem at College Station?

"Lost." Bjork was AD when Jimbo got that extension. They "won" when he went to OSU.

This is not a loss. How that guy continues to fail upwards I have no idea.

Woodward: Louisiana native took his dream job. What are you to do?

Bjork. Dead man walking after the Stoops fiasco. What a dumbass. Just remarkable that he somehow landed at tOSU.

Jimbo. This topic has been exhausted.

Schloss. This little fricker knew this day would come when he took the Aggie job back in 2021. He was always reuniting with CDC. Would have done so in 2021 if the job had been open. Never liked CS, A&M, the traditions, etc. Took the Aggie job to escape a bad situation he created in his personal life at TCU. Timing worked out great for him. Got us to the mountain top and then started orchestrating a complete transplant of the Aggie program sometime in May. Diabolical for sure. A very unique situation there.

Normal people with full-functioning brains who were not indoctrinated into that roll their eyes at this behavior. It is easy to become disenfranchised by the odd culture at A&M if you are an outsider.

For Schloss, I figured he would leave when I realized he lived in DFW for like 15 years. Not trying to rag on college station, but ya cant live your whole adult life in Dallas and then move to college station. Especially when you're making the kind of money these guys do. It's just not comparable.

Sure, but Ags are so damn quick to shower any coach with money and praise and adoration at the first sign of success that I think this point is mostly moot.

Would a new coach unfamiliar with A&M be confused - get the "ick" - at the intro presser as he watches Yell leaders do cringy things? Yes. For sure.

Is he thinking about that three years later walking around as King of CS, adored by the masses, fresh off some irresponsible contract extension for being "good" to "pretty good." Of course not.

Just depends on where you are in life.

If you're raising a family, you're not going to mind CS. You're going to love it because you will love how your family is treated and the protective bubble they'll have for as long as you're there.

If you're fresh off a messy divorce and want to chase tail, then yeah, you're not going to want to spend more time than you must in CS.

It’s a cultural issue. A&M can’t look at itself critically to make whatever changes need to be made.
