Well, good for you. There’s your little moral victory, bless your heart.

Yet if you could beat unranked teams like we do it wouldn't even be a problem now would it? How can anyone take a team serious that gets embarrassed by a team with literally no offense. Our strength of schedule is the least of your issues Bama Boy
I'm just posting stats because they are interesting and I think other SoS methods are flawed, no need to cry.
Do Texas fans even know what SoS is and means? It doesn't seem so.

You know how to make your SOS go up? Lose to your opponent.
Dumbasses.
Alabama losing to Vandy and Oklahoma increased your SoS since you don't play Alabama.
Put the crack pipe down.

It still suffers from the main flaw in all SOS rankings; not enough meaningful OOC games to draw meaningful comparisons.
Not much you can do about the bubble, but opponent adjusted ranks do somewhat ok using the few games we get. I'd love to see more OOC games and more links between conferences, which is part of the reason I hate people pushing the 9 game schedule.
G5 provide valuable data, but FCS does not.

Did you know that Texas SOS went down every time we played except once (Georgia).
Why, because we won, which downgrades the "strength" of the opponent.
After we beat Aggie, their "strength" will be downgraded.
Are you getting this?

False. Playing good teams often increases the strength of the opponent because these are opponent adjusted stats.

Metrics are a little more advanced and I believe this one does the opposite.
1. Does not count your opponents’ games against you.
2. Will count your wins against those opponents when figuring SOS for other teams that play those opponents.
The result is that winning will actually help your SOS at least as it compares to your peers who share opponents.

Indiana now has a SoS as good as Texas, and they both got blown out by the 1 good team they played.
Didn’t Texas get blown out at home by the one good team they played?
