How did the SEC office sign off on this?

They threw them a bone after going behind their back on the Texas-OU deal.

They were hoping nobody would notice and want A&M to stick it to the Longhorns their first season in the conference, so they gave them a nice, easy schedule with no sudden turns or steep drops.

Do you count AT&T as a home game?

conversely, Auburn plays three straight SEC road games in the month of October. Their last home game was September 28. Their next home game is November 2

Judging by our W/L the last 10 years against Arkie.. yep that's home field advantage.

not a gator fan talking about scheduling when they postpone every game that anticipates 15 mph winds

I think you mean the last 13 years.

It's basically a guaranteed W at this point via some weird voodoo jinx Pio must have put on the Hogs, but it sure as hell never feels like it.

Don't worry they get fuqt next year with road trips to South Bend, Fayetteville, Baton Rouge, Austin, and Columbia.

If they don't capture lightning in a bottle this year they likely never will.

Fortunately I think LSU and UT will answer the bell and stave off the apocalypse.

And UT has 7 home games and 0 back to back SEC road games

Neutral site game was one of our road games this year but next year we will only have 3 SEC home games so it is an every other year conundrum.

Thankfully the ags gave up their full spectrum hawg dominance by giving up Jerryworld.

At least we get the really tough teams at home (Georgia, Bama).

Also, I don't think we're playing Texas next year...I thought LSU was our perpetual opponent for the foreseeable future.

Next year's conference schedule is the same as this year with home/away reversed.

I don't know that it's that big a deal.

UGA has only one set of back to back road games.... but they had a bye in between (UK, bye, Bama).

UGA also only has 4 road games this season (but has two neutral site games in UF and Clemson so only 6 home games).

I don't think the schedule is all that odd for A&M.

Easter egg for A&M's final regular-season conference record?
Easter egg for Texas' conference record going into the A&M game?

Texas didn’t play a real SEC team until the second half of October.

Explain that one.

Technically, they played a real SEC team in the first half of October, it just happened to be the worst team whose best coach died last year (RIP The Pirate).
