Sankey has gotten rich but his back door deals and selling out to ESPN is imploding on the SEC.

We have gone from unquestioned #1 to clearly #2.

What does the SEC being #1 do for you?

sounds like you're using the success of other SEC teams to ease the pain of Texas A&M sucking

Alabama finally declines a little and the rest of the SEC loses their mind because they can't be considered the best anymore.

Forget the SEC. The entire South is mired in football mediocrity.

No LSU, Florida, FSU, Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Clemson didn’t belong, Tennessee got destroyed, Georgia is regressing to the mean.

The Midwest has completely taken over. There is a reason for that beyond NIL/portal. Just can’t put my finger on it.

Yet you guys openly shite on Texas, LSU, and probably everyone but your butt buddy Alabama. Don’t pretend like you’re some SEC supporter. frick all that noise.

Watching an SEC school not named LSU winning a national title does nothing to help us.

In the current overall recruiting rankings:

top3 - SEC teams.

In the top15, 10 of them are SEC teams. The Big10 has 3 teams(#4 and #5) and the ACC has 1 team. The other team is Notre Dame.

Nothing has changed in recruiting or transfers.

So stupid.

I love it when folks talk in absolutes. As if #1 will always be #1 and shite doesn't ebb and flow all the time. Why don't you just congratulate the teams that are successful and work harder to displace them next season. The Big 10 is not clearly the number 1 conference, and even if they were things can change quickly. The SEC is dominating in basketball this year, but there is no guarantee that will continue next year or even result in any teams in the final 4, much less winning a natty.

Just enjoy your team playing the games. It won't change your life if they win or lose, I promise you. Of course we like to see our teams win, but how you let the losses affect you is more important.

Only 5 SEC teams (Bama, UGA, LSU, Aub, FL) have played for and won a national title in the 21st century. I am not including Texas and Oklahoma until they do it as a member of this conference.

Only 3 (Alabama, Georgia, LSU) have played for and won a national title in the playoff era (the last decade).

“We” haven’t gone anywhere bc the majority of the conference hasn’t done anything. It was Florida - who hasn’t been relevant in 15 years - in the 2000s and Bama has pretty much been it with an anomaly Auburn 1 year and LSU and Georgia sprinkled in certain periods.

That’s it. “We” - the rest of the conference - haven’t gone anywhere bc they’ve never been at the top.

This is 100% correct, but it's still glaring that it's two years in a row with no SEC team represented in the Final.

Prior to 23 season, when was the last time an SEC team wasn't in the NC game? When's the last time we had two consecutive years without SEC representation in the NC game? Has that ever happened in the BCS era to present? I could look it up but I hope someone else here already knows and can answer the question.

I can handle the truth.

GFY bitch.

I was on the Ole Miss sidelines when Archie played.

I have forgotten more about the SEC than you have ever known.

A decade ago. 2014. Ohio State v Oregon. The first playoff season. Same sentiment was spewed by talking heads that the playoff “exposed” the conference. SEC won the next year and went on to the win the most of all conferences in first decade of the playoff.

2 decades ago. 2004-2005. Off top of my head. USC v Oklahoma in 04 and USC v Texas in 05. SEC would play 2006-2013 and win 7 in a row.
