The reason Bama could double team Moody is because they knew that Newby was actually an asset to Alabama when he had the ball. His defender just left him alone. As much as they wanted the ball out of Moddy's hands they wanted it in Newby's.

He is good and will be a big contributor next year, I just don't think he's there yet. He's a score-first PG and wouldn't mesh well with Moody on the court. He put up 62 against Dwayne Bacon's AAU team this summer. I look for him to probably move to the 2 next year when Burnett (4* transfer from Miami) is eligible.

Yeah Newby is terrible. He is adequate on defense and does rebound but offensively, he sucks. Can't even shoot free throws well.

One thing I learned about that kid that shot the free throws late is he hasn't been focusing all year. The announcer said he was a 58% free throw shooter. He shot those two silky smooth. I was like, yeah this kid isn't focusing in normal game situations when he goes to the line.

If Saiz were a little bit tougher he'd be one of the better players in the league

Talking to one of my buddies who works for the team, he says Saiz is the hardest worker on the team. Moody coming in right behind him.

But that Newby is laziest player on the team.

Not surprising. You learn to do opposite hand layups in like 3rd grade. No excuse for making it to college and still trash at it. But some guys ride God given talent until the end of their playing career.

He said Buckner and Holloway were that way. Could've been 5* kids, but didn't work at it.

Saiz is one my favorite Rebels of all time. He works harder than everyone and loves Ole Miss.

Anthony Perez is the laziest dude we've got. The guy is a freak, the best athlete on the team. He has range, explosiveness, can finish at the rim, etc - but still can't crack the starting lineup as a senior because he just doesn't give a shite

Newby also didn't seem to be taking AK's criticism of him last night too well duirng the game either. A lot of smirks and various other displeased expressions if you will. That I did not like.

This was obvious just by his demeanor on the bench late in the game. The place was rocking, excitement in the air, and he looked to be damn near asleep on the bench.

We're the only ones in our section at the moment and our section is moving. ...a lot. Feels like an earthquake kind of feeling. Wondering what is going to do when it fills up.
