You still haven't explained how drunkenness "helps you get laid" though...have you? You aren't going to face your words...are you?

How many times have you used another person who was drunk for your personal satisfaction? You aren't going to answer that either...are you?

Yes, I've taken psychology courses. If the person thinks and acts differently when they're drunk than when they're sober, that's becoming someone else.

You're so dumb.

It's true that most are male, not female, which prey on drunks.

Do you have the same personal values, the same behavior, drunk as you do sober?

Yes. I don't get trashed. Most of the time I just get a good buzz. The only times that I've been drunk any time recently were on vacation.

What do you want explained about it? It helps you get laid.

The same number of times they have used me for their personal satisfaction. Consentual sex, assuming both parties got off, and usually the chick does, were satisfied. Personal satisfaction isn't allowed in your weird world?

To this guy, it is either obliterated, or sober. Let's play along with his assumption for a bit.

Right, I'm asking why folks get drunk, what is the benefit to drunkenness. Would you agree that when you were drunk, you were not yourself. You didn't act or think as you did when you were sober?

I can't believe this thread is still going but People get drunk so they will stop over analyzing every little action they do like you are doing now. No it doesn't change who you are, it just allows you to relax and do things you want to do but usually wouldn't because you think about the possibility of the bad outcomes too much.

It's like an energizer thread!!

Yes, drunkenness does change who you are if you do things drunk that you would not do, or think, or act, if you were sober.

Do you think less of people who drink?

What about those who do drugs?

What about people who smoke?

Those that eat fatty foods?

Those that sky dive, get in shark cages, or some other thrill seeker?

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope...and nope.

I do question why folks think there's benefits to being a drunk though.

and think that's somehow mature or appealing?

Or use any mind altering drugs for that matter? Is one's life so empty and meaningless that's needed to fulfill it?

For one you didn't differentiate between drinking alcohol responsibly and doing it excessively.

Mind altering drugs? You again didn't differentiate between the types of drugs. There are drugs such as cocaine and meth that may be fun but destroy the body and brain. But drugs like mushrooms and marijuana can be educational/enlightening drugs while not harming the body or brain.

What if they don't really "think" about any "benefits", and just drink because they enjoy it?
