For me it’s Texas, because of the hunting. I know some people knock the ranches out there but it’s fun as hell to drive 3 hours and hunt exotics that are originally from Africa and India.

Used to be Louisiana for the food and NOLA. Now it’s Tennessee for the smokies.

The Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast area is great to visit. Its getting a bit too developed now but I prefer it to Florida.

We just got back from Dauphin Island. Was very relaxing, and beautiful. But honestly wasn't much to do.

As an East Tennessean whose spoiled enough to be looking at the Smokies from my 2nd floor window - It's gotta be FL for the panhandle.

30A has started to lose it's charm over the years, but I still enjoy being down there for a week when it's not crazy arse spring break.

I'm not swimming with sharks. I don't care the statistics, I would be the .000004 percent that gets eaten, so I've stopped that. Just prefer fresh water and not being eaten alive

oddly enough I’m more afraid of gators than I am sharks. Only time I’ll get in lake water is if it’s right off the boat and even then I’ll never jump into a creek, river or lake at night

Too busy at work.

Florida, the panhandle or SW near Fort Myers/ Sanibel. The salt water fishing in SW Florida that you can do without a boat is amazing. We rent a canal home in Cape Coral and catch lots of fish from the dock. Then a short drive to the beaches for snook and redfish

I’m in my second year of my second retirement. So having nothing to do has been sweet! Under appreciated employment, imo.

Back on point, any state with a gulf beach. After 30 years in Alaska, I’m mountain-ed out.

Probably Arkansas for me for the Ozarks.

Also like the Big South Fork / Cumberland Falls area of Tenn and KY and the Red River Gorge / Carter Caves area of Kentucky.

There are exotics from Mexico and Central America, too. Why aren’t you hunting them?
