Here is the path of the world-record-holding tornado of 1925. Its path was officially 219 miles long. It seems the Quad-State Tornado of 2021 will break the record. We should know in the coming days.
It’s eerie that the Quad-State Tornado’s path is parallel to that of the Tri-State Tornado more than 96 years later.

Mayfield was hardest hit but other, smaller towns were almost wiped out. Dawson Springs, home to Gov. Beshear took a direct hit.

There wasn't much to it when it was to the southwest of Jonesboro, Arkansas, but once it got to Monette, Arkansas, it was a beast.

And remained a historic beast until it reached Hartford, Ky. It amazes me that 23 communities lay almost directly in the path of that monster tornado.

Sadly geography tends to channel tornadoes so some communities just get hit over and over again. I am not saying other places can't get hit, and hit hard, but there are "sweet" spots out there.
Just a horrible fricking day for everyone in the path of the latest storm.

I think you're right. I've tended to notice that as it relates to severe weather patterns in this state certainly
