Would you like to show me where Jesus says that in the Bible? I seem to remember his putting a stop to that at one point. Something about those who are without sin casting the first stone?

Like I said, I do not discriminate except on the basis of moronic, douchebaggery, assholishness, and you seem to be the president of that club.

I'm extremely happy with myself and where I am in life. And in case you were wondering, I'm very close with God. I bet you assumed me to be an atheist. God, to me, is a spiritual thing, not a religious thing.

ohh,,, "it's" in politics, well that explains it.

back to breakfast for me..

eta:,,, no, I don't assume too much about you, there can't be much going by what you've said. you've pretty much maxed out your a-hole with some of the jibberish you've been trying to spout from it. I'm gonna let you crawl back under your rock with your boyfriend and you can keep hiding from mommy with her switch. and yes, keep blaming the Bible for the sorry choices. Happy New Year.

Do you know what the Old Testament is? It's part of the Bible as well.

Do you know that Christians follow Christ's teachings? You know, Jesus Christ, in the New Testament.

I'm with you, OG. I was dreading the doc, but happy to have to go now. The utter stupidity here is making my head hurt worse than the flu.

Yea, they do. They also have no problem reaching back to the Old Testament to support their argument when it fits. When asked about it otherwise, they shun the Old Testament and say they follow Christ's teachings and his alone.

Yep, and Jesus never mentions homosexuality, and it's debatable whether it is even mentioned in the New Testament.

Did you just quote yourself, in reply to....yourself?

Oh, I get it. You're calling me gay now. Hilarious. Real mature.

Jude 1:4
For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Jude 1:7
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

Matthey 19:4
Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’

Those passages have just as much validity as the Koran, Dianetics, the Book of Mormon, and the Brother's Grimm.

Except they are examples contrary to a misguided and uninformed statement.

Yep, nothing about homosexuality. Ungodly is a pretty broad term.

quote:

Jude 1:7

Again, nothing about homosexuality. Sure, many interpretations claim there was homosexuality in Sodom and Gomorrah, but there are also interpretations that refute that. So, it is debatable.

Matthey 19:4
Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’

This passage is in reference to divorce, so again nothing about homosexuality.

Why do you have to call someone ignorant and intolerant as a way to avoid having a discussion? It's childish.

Obama? You mean the guy was against gay marriage until he realized it may cost him the election in 2012? That Obama?

The only position I'm taking is that it is debatable on whether homosexuality is mentioned in the New Testament. There are many Biblical scholars that claim it is not, just as there are many that claim it is. I really don't care. The greater message is love your neighbor.
