Was there a mass exodus of Houston residents over the last few months?

Come on - little bit different

However, nobody would argue that Louisiana and New Orleans as a whole is a sieve in terms of a well working government. Their collapse was part God and part man.

Any state that borders Texas gets enough good stuff via proximity alone.

The #36 state talking down to #50. I'm on board with it.

What was different about it?

Harvey damaged over 200,000 homes, destroyed over 12,000, and is estimated to have done around $180,000,000,000.00 in damage.

Well, for one, about 1,500 more deaths overall

However, this is not really a debate I want any part of. They were both awful storms that hurt a lot of people.

Joke about the hashtag all you want, but Houston handled one of the worst natural disasters in recent history pretty well.

Yes they did - incredibly well. All the way from citizens to state officials to federal officials.

From the outside looking in it was incredibly impressive.

Contrast that to NOLA after Katrina where people either sat on their asses or went out looting sneakers/jerseys/malt liquor/menthols/rims/etc.
