I had no idea until a coworker asked me today if I thought we'd beat Memphis.

I went and looked at our roster. I think I recognized Grill, Shaw and Bates. I dont think I knew anyone else.

Can we end the 19 game losing streak tonight?

they'll be better. I think we finish somewhere in the 50s in kenpom, just miss the tourney.

That would be a massive improvement.

I’m guessing closer to .500.

Im very high on Crews, MM and Perkins. That's a better trio than anything we had last year by a significant amount.

Center spot is still a big weakness or at least a big unknown. I'd just play MM and Crews together and not even worry about the center.

Grill + Warrick will make for a fun back count as long as Warrcks 3 improves.

starting 5 has a PRPG of 17.1, last year was 12.6. Anything above a 14 is solid, 16+is pretty good.

I'm excited for the throwback jerseys this season. The team itself, who knows

Maybe we get our first win of 2024 this week.

Maybe not.

The missed FTs allowed Memphis to come back. Grill and Mitchell both had some awful turnovers and didn't provide anything on offense. Shaw and Pierce both had great first halves and then sat on the bench until Memphis had regained the lead. Frustrating start to the season

This is the crap that is mindblowingly frustrating with DG. I just want to scream for him to pull his head out of his butt.

Totally agree.

Mitchell and Grill combined for 9 turnovers. It's just one game, but when Robinson was out, we looked lost and frantic on offense. Memphis should get credit for upping the pressure when it was clear we couldn't handle it.

Just one game....hopefully we can play a full 40 minutes against lesser competition and grow.

The definition of insanity last night ...

Gates is a lot like Drink. Elite recruiter. Below average game day coach.

Hope he learns more quickly on the job than Drink ...
