What's going on?? Ranked 25 after several years of top five. Something is going on...

Probably just the fizzling out of the Brian Smith era. Great coach. Glad we had him.

Lots of injuries this year. Surtain and Elam out with season ending injuries and O’Toole’s been down since December, but will be back today vs Iowa State.

Good question. Seems a J-school with a (usually) top 15 program would want to cover it.

The most losses since the 2000 season. Smith has done a remarkable job, but I wonder if, at some point, long-time coaches take their foot off the gas??

Longtime wrestling fan here and this is my take. Off last years team we lost Big Elam, Mauller, Mocco all were All Americans. As this year started returning 3 time All American Rocky Eam out with injury for the seasin. Noah Surtin 4x qualifier out for career. Add to that O'Toole 2x National Champion was out for almost 2 months (just returned Saturday). As well stud newcomer Steed at 165 was injured and like O'Toole just came back. Top 10 ranked Hawks has been out about a month at 184 (just returned). At 149 national qualifier Gioffre has been out and just returned. This has led to a roster of as many as 8 2nd string guys wrestling of the 10 spots. On top of that is the loss of all the studs from the past years being out and then their replacments being hurt as well. Their have been some disappointments for sure, Moore at 133 has not improved as mush as hoped for from last year. The last couple of classes have been highly ranked but except for Steed at 165 and flashes from 125 Walker have nit shown much yet. The big get last year Sinclair has looked good but they are redshirting him.

Tackle, You been watching the tourney? Some great matches and many surprising upsets. Good, knowledgeable announcers, too.

I watched it all, the Mizzou performance was like the season. Keegan lost a tough one but he never looked 100% coming off that knee injury. There is no shame in losing in the finals in OT. Steed did well going AA but other than those 2, major bummer of a performance. That Heavy final was insane as NO ONE thought Steveson could lose.
