Normally, not a huge fan. But this article is spot on. LINK

What's especially important is the comparisons to the trajectory of Arkansas, KU and Illinois.

I know UT is a bigger program than us but they were a colossal dumpster fire when Heupel took the job NOBODY wanted. I think their comparison is just as important.

That's total B.S.

Arkansas is 3-4. A lot of pre-season hype.

kansas had the benefit of an easy early schedule. They're going to crater.

Illinois is doing well. So what?

All of those programs have head coaches with waaaay more experience than Drink.

We knew when he came that it would take time. And, as predictable, Mizzou fans are ready to fire him before the team is completely his.

Bernie is a Mizzou hating hack.

For starters Arkansas shouldn't be there.

What Bret has done with Illinois is ever so slightly impressive. The best team they've faced so far this year is #46 ranked Minnesota, and that was at home. Wisconsin is really bad this year. Totally honest projection here, we're likely also anywhere between 5-2 and 7-0 with their schedule. They have a loss to a team nearly as bad as Vandy in IU, and this whole fanbases(self included) melted after that win..

ku actually has been more impressive than illinois, but like Brett and Illinois, they did so without beating anyone worthy of getting hype. Before their QB went down, and they had that "historic start" the best win came again #47 Houston

I listen to Bernie for baseball, thats all.

Um...are you saying ku hasn't made significant progress?

All of the teams mentioned are better this year than before their current coaches arrived. Mizzou can't say that.

How the hell could kansas NOT be better?

They have been horrible for decades.

Quit bitching about Mizzou by comparing them to teams that haven't played anyone.

If you're that down on Mizzou then go root for kansas, or Illinois, or Arkansas. Nobody is stopping you from bringing your "support" to those programs.

Several coaches failed to make them better. They didn't play anyone last year and still went 2-10. They have 5 wins this year and even if they dont win another that is huge improvement for a staff that didn't even get a full first year with the team.

And we dont have much further to fall before we can only get better. We are probably better than ku right now but that has nothing to do with the point.
