Notes:
- UK could have some early injury issues. While neither was deemed serious both OL Zach Meyers (in competition for the starting center spot) and CB Cody Quinn went down with with ankle injuries. Zach West will step in at the #1 spot at Center while he's out with Max Gooby backing up. Za'Darius Smith is out for the 6th day with his ankle and while it's also been deemed "not serious" Stoops is saying it'll "take time".
- Aside from the injury concerns, Stoops was really pleased again with their effort. On both sides of the ball.
- NATE WILLIS HAS ARRIVED OMG THANK YOU. Yeah. He'll get thrown in there quick with Quinn going down too.
- Some interesting notes regarding the QB race. Brown noted that it's becoming clearer. Stoops reiterated again that if Whitlow doesn't get the job he will be used in other capacities on the field.
Makes you think that Whitlow might not end up the starter.

- Stoops and Co. was not happy at all today. Used words like "very poor", "not tough enough", etc. He definitely didn't mince words.
- Scrimmage tomorrow looks to be a big day for a lot of position wars right now.
- Eliot had some good things to say about Nate Willis' first practice. Talked about his quickness and his athleticism as well as his length. Through Jaleel Hytchye has been working with the first-team at that spot, but it sounds like he could definitely slide in there as well.
- Position Change: Freshman S Blake McClain is sliding over to CB to see if he can give some depth to the very thin position.

- Still no QB decision but a lot of folks seems to think it's been narrowed down to Smith and Whitlow.
- Nate Willis played a ton today. Looks like he'll be a huge part of the CB position.
- Raymond Sanders reps were limited in order to allow JoJo Kemp (who left practice with an ankle injury, not serious) and Dyshawn Mobley to get more reps.
- Max Godby received majority of snaps on 1st team at center largely due to injuries.
- Said the WRs had a lot of drops today which was unexpected since they had been doing well all of camp.

What's the deal with having to get NCAA approval to send flowers and an offer sheet? I know there's rules about damn near everything, but this?

Petty NCAA rulebook.
They finally made the Marine eligible today.
Hopefully, they come to their senses and let Stoops and UK send the family some things after all they have been through losing their son.

Who the hell knows with the NCAA. Same guys that will hit you with a violation if you drive a kid home to a family member's funeral too so it doesn't shock me.

The thing with the offer has been all over the media so I think the NCAA will bend on this one at some point. After all the press attacking the NCAA the past few weeks they need some good media right now.

- The QB race is officially down to Smith and Whitlow. Towles is #3 and is apparently open to redshirt.
- Za'Darius Smith is still out with his ankle. Color me a bit concerned at this point. Zach Myers also continued to sit. Nate Willis was held out for non-injury purposes, the staff wants to bring him in "slowly".

How's the secondary looking? I realize it may have been posted but I'm lazy.
I don't really know a whole hell of a lot about this Kentucky football team. Since we have a new staff, too, I've spent this offseason dedicated to following the Hogs solely. Haven't had much of a chance to get caught up.

Our secondary is pretty thing right now. If Nate Willis didn't get qualified we would've in a world of hurt, but he's been playing really well. They've moved at least one guy over from safety for depth. Our strength on the defense will be closer to the line with guys like Cobble, Dupree, Rumph, and Z. Smith.
