Sid, is kinda correct. Tiger rant was originally the only website, it was an LSU site but everyone was welcome and in the beginning it was 100x harder to get banned than it is now so there were some epic discussions l, etc.
Bama websites and most others were very rigid and over time a lot of Bama, Auburn, and other rival fan bases fled to Tiger Rant because they were thrown off their team sites or because they liked the freedom to talk shite and express themselves on this site. Over time LSU fans got pissed their fan site was over run with rival fans so the SEC Rant was created as a site for all fanbases, and the OT, Saints board, etc were created, (maybe before don’t remember), then the other team sites were created.
So the SEC Rant was not developed for just bama fans but for all non LSU fans so that the original rant could return to being mostly LSU fans. Chicken is an LSU alum and he started the rant.

Seriously, Bama alum are easy to get along with for most part and generally good people. The online fans are not anyway typical of Bama alumni fans, just like is true of most fanbases.
