Defending SEC Champion Alabama Gymnastics Reveals 2022 Schedule
The Crimson Tide’s slate includes five home and four road meets and a neutral site competition in Huntsville, Ala.

Family Feeling Key to Lily Smith’s Gymnastics Success and Commitment to Alabama
It was a golden year for Lily Smith. She was crowned Region 7 all around champion, became the national all around silver medalist and posted a near-perfect 9.975 on floor. Additionally, she was chosen by Katelyn Ohashi as the model for her first GK leotard collection and committed to Alabama for the 2023 season.

Season tickets are on sale now for the defending Southeastern Conference Champion Alabama gymnastics team. Their upcoming schedule includes five home and four road meets as well as one neutral-site quad meet. The Crimson Tide opens the season with road meets at Oklahoma and Florida, before welcoming Kentucky to Coleman Coliseum for the first of five home meets on Jan. 21. Alabama closes the regular season with the Elevate the Stage meet in Huntsville, site of the Tide's 2021 SEC Championship victory.

The Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced the league’s 2022 gymnastics television slate which includes nine of 10 Alabama’s regular-season meets that will be televised or streamed

The Crimson Tide will face Florida in the first regular-season collegiate gymnastics meet to air on ABC Sun., Jan. 16 in Gainesville, Fla. (2 p.m.)
Alabama is slated to compete on ESPN2 at Oklahoma (Jan. 9/12 p.m.) and at Auburn (Jan. 28/8 p.m.)
The Tide will compete on the SEC Network against Kentucky (Jan. 21/6:30 p.m.), Georgia (Feb. 11/6:30 p.m.) and Missouri (Feb. 25/5 p.m.)
The Tide's matchup at LSU on Feb. 18 will air on ESPNU at 8 p.m.
The Tide's tri-meet with UNC and Western Michigan (Feb. 4) and its meet against Arkansas (March 4) will stream live on SECNetwork+ with both meets starting at 7 p.m.
Both sessions of the SEC Championships (2:30 p.m./7 p.m.) will air on the SEC Network on March 19
The NCAA Championships Final will air live on Saturday, April 16 at 12 p.m. on ABC
The NCAA Championships Semifinals will be broadcast live on ESPN2 on Thursday, April 14, with Semifinal I airing at 12 p.m. and Semifinal II airing live at 5 p.m.
There will be streaming coverage of NCAA Regional Championships, with all four regionals streaming live on the ESPN App via ESPN3/ESPN+ with coverage of every gymnast and apparatus

With a majority of the roster coming back from an SEC Championship, things are looking great.
Some would look at getting OU and UF on the road the first 2 meets is the toughest draw in the country, and it is, but it's about scores not Ws and Ls.
Typically facing a high scoring team also bumps up your scores. And getting high road scores is the most important for NQS and NCAA seeding.
Also, I hate that they started giving a "regular season" championship in the SEC...how many Championships would Alabama have if they had been doing that?
It was always about and comes down to the SECs for the Championship.
