Kiffin has the luxury to have his Dad advising him. I would suspect Monte has forgotten more about Defenses than most of us all combined. He will tell Lane if DJ can build something or not. But I like the idea of bringing more heat because the 3 DL pass rush is about worthless.

Then again these somewhat new wave offenses could quite possibly be over the head of a man in his 80s who’s most likely never devised a plan to stop said offenses. Just sayin… Also, if you are an O coordinator you also know the weakness and the very best chance at stopping these offenses.
