2021 SECRant Power Rankings - Week 4 Results

Good morning, everyone! As promised, here are the results from the Week 4 Power Rankings polls. Arkansas predictably climbed to 3rd in the rankings for both polls, while Ole Miss and Florida jockey for 4th place. The Community poll had LSU ranked three spots higher than the PR poll (can't imagine why), and both polls saw a drop off for Missouri following their crushing loss to Boston College. Thanks to everyone who participated, and have a good weekend!

LSU fan - LSU Did well. Stopped the air raid for the most part. D was able to do their job. Offensively, we're still struggling to create lanes for RBs. WRs had some drops as well. Can always improve on both sides of the ball. Auburn next. Will be interesting to see which QB they decide to roll with. Stop tank and make Nix/Findley throw. I like our chances, especially @ 8pm in Tiger Stadium. 38-14 Tigers

Alabama fan - Alabama. They blew out USM but I saw some things I did not like and that won't fly against better teams. Particularly on the offensive line and to a lesser extent the defensive line. I still think they are better than Ole Miss, but I think there is enough volatility in the way they play combined with Bama's inconsistency at the LOS that makes this game almost a coin flip.

LSU - I want to believe we can be good, but our O-Line is not solid. We have a hard time establishing the run and our OC never seems to find a rhythm. The defense is looking solid, and Jones made some adjustments that I think helped keep MSU out of the endzone. Overall, Auburn will be a solid game for us, and we are excited to give Finley a loss in Tiger Stadium.

Florida continues to beat teams on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Everyone knows what they are trying to do and no one has stopped them yet. Next team to try is Kentucky. They have played Uf tough at Lexington in recent years. Can Uf grind out a win on the road?

Alabama dominated Southern Miss, 63-14. Bryce Young was almost perfect in the game and Jameson Williams is still running all over the Golden Eagles. Next up are the Ole Miss Land Rebel Bear Sharks and former Alabama OC, Lane Kiffin. Expect some fireworks offensively.

Dawgs committed sanctioned murder last week as expected against Vandy. Up 35-0 roughly halfway through the 1st quarter, we pulled JTD after one quarter. Hoping that doesn't come back to bite us, as I feel like he could use additional reps with receivers still. Starting RBs almost seem like they were held back a bit, since we shifted our OL around quite a bit. Need to see improved run blocking this week and better play from the backs against a much stouter Arkansas Defense. I like the dawgs to win comfortably here, but who knows about the Vegas line... ~18 seems silly unless we shut down their offense early and score heavy early, forcing a negative game script for the Hawgs. Time for JTD to have a big game against what is assumed to be a real defensive test.
