I read that he went with Card for 2 reasons:

1) Casey had 3 turnovers in a scrimmage right before the season.

2) Casey apparently showed up late for 2 meetings in August. No idea if this is true.

I don’t fault Sark for picking Card. Card probably fits Sarks offense better if he had a good OL, but our OL is not very good right now. Card 100% has a better arm.. He can really sling it, but his deep balls do need some tweaking.

That being said, some guys just don’t practice good and a light comes on during a real game. Casey appears to be one of those guys.

Casey has 21 Drives in 2020 & 2021
16 Touchdowns
2 FG
2 Punts (1 was running out the clock)
1 INT (last week when he got hit throwing the ball)

That is 5.62 Points Per Drive. It wasn’t against an elite defense, but the guy just leads his team to scores. It won’t stay at that pace, but we will win a lot of games if he can do 3.5 PPD or better in Big 12 play.
