Texas excuse list (for those that aren’t familiar)

Aggies are used to this, but for those just getting introduced to the smegma from Austin, here’s the list of excuses you’ll be hearing once they finally slink back to the rant. As you’ll learn, no matter how bad they are, they never admit losing.
1. We just played poorly. We win this 9 of 10 times…just had a bad night. (Note, this will be implied and underlying most of their yammer).
2. Refs stole the game. Even though I don’t recall a single controversial call…this will still be used. They ignore years of blatant protection from old SWC refs and still play this card.
3. We had “so and so” injured. Even if the kid plays….they can still claim he was hurt and playing.
What you won’t hear is the truth, which is….Arkansas beat us like a yard dog. Arkansas is way better than us and we have work to do. The tsip mentality does not allow reality to creep in.

All of this is true, but the beatdown was so bad last night that they were even admitting they were getting crushed on surlyhorns. You can't deny an asswhipping like that.

TBf there was a couple of obvious targeting no calls. I won’t question why the big12 refs didn’t call those LOL, because we all know why. It’s what they get for all the SWC days.

Don't forget the epic QB controversy. Who will lead this soon to be 6-6 football team?? The nation is on pins and needles to find out. This QB situation is very important and needs to be given a lot of airtime during any game they play until it is resolved!!

So far, it’s “we started the wrong QB” and “Sark underestimated the hate.” They were beat by a much better team period.

Alabama fans of old are very much familiar with excuse #2, most notably the last part..."They ignore years of blatant protection from old SWC refs and still play this card.". Of course, this was in the SEC and was going on in the 1960's and '70's.
I know. I lived back in those days and recall many complaints from other SEC schools about this practice while Bear Bryant was HC.
Now, watch...today's Alabama fans will deny this, just like Texas fans would deny it in the SWC. But, it was well known that it was going on back then.
