I said 38-17 utk in a different thread. I wasn’t far off.

We were running the ball well and hindsight being 20/20, you just continue to run the ball and hammer it in. … That was a play we’d been working all week,” Beamer said. “Jordan has thrown that ball, I think in high school, something we’d been working on all along this week. And he’s made some great throws on it. I didn’t really see the angle of it from the sideline. Yesterday, we ran it in our walk-thru in the indoor and he threw a beautiful ball in the back of the end zone and he led Nick (Muse) and Nick caught it as he’s going out-of-bounds. But I think it may have been a little bit underthrown, I’m not really sure. Their guy made a nice play.
“But we had talked about it as an offensive staff, the first time we got down there inside the 5, we were going to get to that call. We told Jordan, run it and make them tackle you if you don’t like the pass. He was trying to make a play. We were trying to make a play. If it works, it’s great. It doesn’t, you get criticized.” Beamer added, “We liked the play and felt good about it.”

Satterfield made history today.
there's no way any OC has ever had a DT throw an interception in the endzone in the same game his QB threw no TDs but the team's punter did.
someone needs to be the adult in the coaches offices tomorrow morning at the $60M football ops facility.
Gamecocks SEC losing skid extends to 9 - the longest since Lou's injury plagued first year bleeding back into Fat Brad's final disaster.

quote:it's all that will keep this SEC losing streak from extending into 2022. all but maybe handing over play call duties to another staff member as soon as tomorrow.
Bring on VANDY!!!

You can call this team a lot of things, but quitters in not one of them.

The DT throw TD attempt was by far the dumbest playcall I think I've ever seen in a "high level" football game at the college or professional level.

I really wish our fans cared enough to boycott games for the rest of the year.
That's literally all we can do to get Ray Tanner out.
If you're reading this and are thinking of going to the Vandy game, please don't.

I think the apathy for the program is the highest point I've ever seen. You may be getting your wish.

I don't think I've ever seen the stadium as empty as it was for the Troy game. The lack of awareness by Beamer about "giving your tickets to someone that wants to go" is straight up laughable. Almost everyone I talk to feels the same way about the program. It's to the point where people just don't care.

Ray Tanner has ruined this football team

There should be an added motivation for our fans to stop financially supporting our athletics given that USC just launched a $35,000,000 fundraising campaign to benefit athletics.
If football attendance evaporates, that fundraising campaign should hilariously fail and it might finally shine a light on Ray Tanner's incompetence to our administrators and maybe then action will be taken.

I love Coach Beamer, want him to succeed, but....
hate to see him going the Frank Martin (failed) way of gaining fan support. It never works. Never once has a fan heard a coach say "Support us better" and thought ...."mannn coach is right, im going to the game!!"

76 yard field goal?
Not running it on the goalline with Marshawn Lynch
it was dumb but not the dumbest.

“I think having a feel is huge. Contrary to we’re not putting up 700 yards a game and scoring 600 points a game, I get that. I feel like I do have a good feel.
I have a really good feel for our team and I have a really good feel to at least get our games into the fourth quarter."
- Marcus Satterfield 10/13/21
the only SEC game to get to the 4Q with a chance for USC to win was vs UK and it was White's defense and turnovers that got Carolina to the 4Q. Satterfield couldn't even get the UTK game to the end of the 1Q after blowing a 1st&Goal trailing 14-0.
so here's the scoring history vs Vanderbilt since 2016 ...
2016 Roper - 13
2017 Roper - 34
2018 McClendon - 37
2019 McClendon - 24
2020 Bobo - 41

That is so weird to me. I feel like yall were selling out games even with that big losing streak of 15-20 games.

We didn't have easily affordable home theater systems with HD broadcasting in 1998.
