Oklahoma is OK.
The greatest and truest license-plate slogan that ever existed.
The seasonal humidity thing is truth, though. We are fortunate enough in the western Ozarks to get some of that plains wind occasionally.
Everything west of Tulsa is basically a barren, windswept wasteland, though. Windiest areas of the country.
An alternate state slogan would be The Land of Blowing Trash. Barbed-wire strung with Walmart sacks as far as the eye can see.

Anyone bragging about Oklahoma geography other than the Oklahoma Department of Tourism?? Lol
Mostly true. In Oklahoma, the Illinois River is a true tourist destination, with people coming from miles around to float a decent river.
In NW Arkansas, it's like the fourth best 'floating' river, and hardly anybody remembers it exists. The whitewater park near Siloam, and the new one they're building right on the state line is going to be cool, though.
Tulsa and OKC aren't bad places.

Two of your first three pics are literally on the Arkansas state line and probably actually can see into Arkansas on the horizon. The little mesas they call the "Gloss Mountains" in that one pic are maybe 200-300 foot tall little buttes, which seem significant because most of the surrounding landscape is as flat as anything on planet earth. I've driven the whole state. It isn't as bad as most people on here are making it, the Wichitas are interesting, and the Ouachitas that bleed over from Arkansas are pretty nice. But there are another 200 miles of them on this side of the state line. Y'all have like 30 miles worth of them.

What sets Oklahoma apart……from literally anything?

But what kind of culture does Oklahoma have?
My state is a shite hole in a lot of aspects, but goddamn it’s filled to the brim with culture and unique people. If someone goes to New Orleans they remember it, they actually paid to go there. Who goes to Oklahoma? To see what exactly?

Western OKC is one of the fastest growing sites in the US, especially Canadian county. I have been a Southerner, born and bred, all of my life. The only reason I livein OK now is because of my kids. It is nothing like Alabama, MS, and LA. I miss my pine trees, and God forbid this freaking wind to stop blowing......geesh.......every friggin thing in this state leans to the NE. I was told it was because Kansas sucks and Texas blows.
