Fair enough, but my logic tells me we have like 60% of the population vaxxed and the numbers now are worse than it has ever been. There's no way that would be possible if the vaccine was mitigating spread of the virus. Be it the original or Delta variant or whatever other variant may be out there, the fact is it's not working.

First the "experts" said the vaccines would prevent you from getting covid. They don't.
Then they said it would prevent the spread. They don't.
Now it's that if you're vaxxed your symptoms won't be as severe.
Keep believing the "experts."
