It felt great, especially after going 5-6 the two prior years. Just a great season with many memorable games. No TV, but I went to all the home games and a couple of road games, so that wasn't much of a factor.
Due to the timing of the sanction announcement, I think the NCAA thought we would take the no TV part in '94, but AU said, screw that, let's get it over with.
The NCAA levied their sanctions about two days before a scheduled ESPN Thursday night season opener. Almost no Ole Miss fans showed up, but the stadium was very nearly full and very loud. I think they were hoping for 50k, and got about 86k. It seemed to inspire the team and in turn, they inspired the crowd.
It was just a really fun year, with a team that just always seemed to find a way.
