The Hoover team when Pruitt didn't know what asparagus was is the greatest team that state has ever produced

2019 LSU was the greatest team in Alabama. Too bad the fans only got to see it in person for a weekend.

I don’t even think it’s an argument. Of course they are.

Don’t think you’ll have any problems in this thread

No, but I do believe 2004 was our best team at Auburn top to bottom

Yes, easily.

3 NFL running backs.
Dominating defense.
Efficient passing game.

That team was text book old school football that we may never see again.

1993 was a pretty damn good team. I still think 2004 was better (four 1st round picks) but 93 was a better “team” than 2010

Easily.

Auburn would’ve blown teams out even more so had TT not taken his foot off the gas in every game.

That 2004 defense was also built for stopping offenses nowadays. Small, fast, adaptive and with a lot of depth. Pass rush was a premium and studs at defensive back.

There are no objective facts surrounding that team anymore. 2004 Auburn has become as mythic as a Poll Era national championship. Had Tuberville not laid off the gas against a hapless 6-4 Alabama team, they might have jumped over Oklahoma. Instead they came out and laid an egg in the first half, going into the locker room trailing 6-0, and only winning the game by eight points.
