Meanwhile...

Blackmon has an angle on Byrd who was slowed slightly by the astounding hurdle of Tubby. Blackmon proceeds to knock the frick out of Byrd in a hit ESPN is unable to air due to Bryds head coming off. Jerrad Powers scoops up the ball and races in the opposite direction for the winning AU TD which sets off the the most incredible celebration ever seen. AU fans rush the field trampling Miles, Mike, and half the LSU team.

The scoreboard operator lets the clock run to triple 0:00 and the refs pick up the flag they had thrown for phantom holding on LSU.

LSU football is devasted. Missing half their team, their lovable mascot and coach with the gigantic balls the rest of the 2008 season is in doubt.

Then Tuberville wakes up from his coma, only to learn it was all a dream, that while diving for Byrd he hit his head and got knocked out, and that Byrd indeed scored the TD. To make it worse, Auburn fumbled the ensuing kickoff after a ruthless hit, and LSU recovered and scored another TD while Tub's body was being taken to the hospital. LSU kicked off one more time, went for the onside kick, and recovered it. On the next play, Scott ran through a monster hole blown open by Herm and Black, only to be met by Blackmon. Scott felt sorry for Blackmon, so he let Blackmon tackle him without trying to break his neck with a stiff arm. Blackmon failed to bring Scott down, and Scott took it all the way for a TD with 0:00 left in the game. The refs tried to put 20 minutes back on the clock, but the Auburn fans, sick of the cheating refs, ran them out of town. The rest of the Auburn fans that stayed gave LSU a thunderous ovation, thanking LSU for showing them what greatness looks like, for showing them a goal to dream about with their own program.

When Tommy hears all this, he is sad, but it doesn't surprise him... after all, he knows he is at Auburn. Poor Tommy.
