LSU fans, are you in favor of keeping the game with UF?

Florida and Louisiana State have played every season since 1954 with the exception of '68, '69 and '70 for some strange reason. Florida leads the series 33-31-3 with LSU holding a current 2 game win streak.
I think it is a great game and would love to keep it, but I also want to keep Georgia, Tennessee and put Auburn back on our schedule. But I think LSU is a bigger rival with Florida than Auburn now. Sucks because the Fla/Aub games were great, but that is part of the changing world we live in.
I mean without the LSU/FLA game we wouldn't have this little gem.
Or the jump pass
Or the Five 4th down conversions.

But really just interested if you think it is worth keeping or prefer to get some rivalries started with the new western teams.

LSU stands to lose the most games of importance of anyone in this whole reshuffling, which sucks because they have so many great yearly matchups that usually have big implications for the post season or are at least hate filled and super entertaining.
Gonna suck so much arse to not see LSU Auburn, LSU Florida, or LSU Bama every year

I'd like to keep it, but with the way they're likely going to set the schedules I don't think its going to happen every year.
That being said, if they would keep ONE inter division or inter pod rivalry, I could see them sticking with this game.
As an LSU fan every year I look at the Fla and Bama game as a litmus of how well the program is doing. Win either one and in your in the conversation, win both and you're playing in a big 6 bowl most likely.

And there have been some classics between LSU and Auburn as well. It will suck if some of these are no longer played on a yearly basis.

I hope we keep it going. We've had some incredible games. I was against ending the series when a lot of LSU supporters were campaigning for a different permanent east opponent a few years back.

Yes I want to keep Florida, Bama, and Auburn. I don't see how that will happen though.

this is why i was against expansion.
I mean seems like A&M and LSU are the ones getting fricked in the whole deal. They should help us when it comes to pods by putting us in one together.
As far as the UF game, I love it and want it to stay if we go pod system. If we go divisions....i dont want permenant opponents, mainly because honestly it seems like we are more or less not in the same conference as some teams.
sucks playing so infrequently.
hopefully we go pod system and we get these big match ups still very often. Hopefully they make our rival game OU on thanksgiving if they are going back to traditional UT/A&M game

not at the expense of fair scheduling and being able to play other schools in the conference on a more frequent basis.

Absolutely, it is a great game every year that I look forward to.
As much as I would love to have the pod system where we play everyone every other year, it would hurt to lose this annual game more than any other IMO. Doesn't matter what kind of year either team is having, the score is almost always close.

The Florida game is my favorite every year. If we had to choose one to keep, it's UF for me.

Absolutely. Always my 2nd favorite game of the year b/c it's usually so close and super competitive.

I want to keep our games with Bama and Florida but I doubt it happens.
Most are probably against keeping the Bama game but I still want it because when we’re good it’s my favorite sporting event of the year. All of us unanimously want to keep the Florida game.

Love this game. Tons of talent on the field. No love between the players (not just fans). Fun game to get to attend every other year.
Biggest down fall of this expansion talk, not playing UF, Bama, Auburn every year (assuming the Alabama schools go east and we don't have the cross division game). I know we don't know what it will look like at this point but i would think if we stay east/west, Mizzou will come west + Tex/OU.

1000% yes.
A lot of LSU friends of mine will sometimes bitch about how we have to play a tough East division opponent every year, but I love it. I respect Florida's program, and we've had great great games played against each other over the years.
I'll embrace whatever happens, but I would still like to play Florida every year. I love watching it every year.
