She's definitely low on the attractive meter. We've devolved from the days of Jill Arrington on the sidelines.

She's one of the more likable ESPN personalities. Another loss for them IMO.

Even though she’s a UGA grad, I say if you’re going to have a female asking questions, make it a hot one. I’m thinking Paige Spiranac. The blonder the better.

Thank the good Lord taxpayers have no say in private sector salaries.

No, it's because she's Black obviously.

Was just an article discussing the Rachel Nichols fall out. She essentially was pissed she was losing ground to Maria Taylor and tried to blame it entirely on diversity policies... was a phone call that she accidentally hot-mic'd herself with a camera that sent the video to ESPN servers where it was seen and shared internally. Was a bad look by her, and then she tried to "woe is me" and talk about how upset she was that someone internally shared a "spy video" of a woman alone in her hotel room, all the while trying to play the female diversity card as ESPN's bigger problem.
Ultimately, a lot of the NBA pre-game staff considered not showing up after producers put out some "directives" going forward that they saw as deferential to Rachel.
I don't think ESPN was ever really going to recover from that situation with Maria, when she's not only more valuable than they want to pay (this has been a continued trend where they seem to be decreasing their ceiling for on air talent pay), but had that eroded trust as well.

I would part ways too with ESPN with their woke liberal sports agenda

Maria is talented and didn't allow the political climate overshadow her job like we see many others at ESPN do. Just get feeling that a certain segment kinda downplaying how hard she works, just this past year she's been sideline reporter at college football, men's basketball, women's basketball, track, volleyball, NBA and NFL. 1 woman crew quite a few Sportscenter. She was offered from other major networks that she turned down in the past.

If ESPN is going to save even a little face here, how in the world do they allow Rachel Nichols to fill Taylor's role?

Comic book nerd on internet forum thinks he knows a woman's place. Classic.

happens ALL the time, ESPN personalities think they're bigger than the network and then they're completely forgotten about. Ask Bill Simmons, or any of those Sportscenter guys if they regret leaving.
Maria will probably regret this move. Anyone heard from Erin Andrews lately? They got "better" jobs but not really.
