Just read the original story in Star.
What the hell was the school thinking? That settlement agreement is a public record and can't be kept confidential. The courts, federal and state, are ruling against such clauses in settlement agreements as the taxpayers are the owners of the public records.
As for the kid, he is depressed over this? Seriously? Needs serious psychiatric help? You had a run in with some dudes. Get over it. You got out of there without harm. You'll never see them again. Let your parents and their lawyers handle it. Yeesh.

Miles may be the current poster boy but you can be sure a ton of other coaches throughout college sports are guilty of the same things/similar. People bitch about the NCAA but the reality is that it's not powerful enough to stop any of this. It's only powerful enough to be a pain in the arse but has no real authority when it comes to the worst sort of offenses.

Miles was at Kansas when this happened, irrelevant. If he covered a bunch of shite up at LSU it would have come out by now, unless the payouts were out of his own pocket and large enough to buy silence there's nothing there.
