Crimson Tide Track and Field Duo Earns SEC Weekly Honors
Following an outstanding showing at Alabama track and field's home Crimson Tide Invitational this past weekend, a pair of UA student-athletes earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
Isaac Odugbesan was named the SEC Male Field Athlete of the Week after breaking a 42-year-old school record in the shot put, while Hillary Cheruiyot was selected as the SEC Male Freshman of the Week after winning the 1,500 meters with a time that ranks second all-time at UA.
