Am I the only one who thinks this Longhorn stadium is complete garbage? Wouldnt the state of Texas as a whole want the capitol city’s school to have the best of the best facilities? I mean heck I think Lamar might even have better facilities

Look around the country. There are lots of great college baseball programs. But no one outside the SEC is really investing in baseball facilities.

It's a big one. Nothing eye popping but can get loud.

The field itself sucks. The stadium is fine. Nothing great but not bad either.

You ever been to austin? There's a skid row of methheads a block or two long, just feet from the campus.

quote:lol we literally just introduced a new player development facility that Kendall Rodgers was amongst the best in the nation. The turf field rubs people the wrong way, but to each their own. I guess the major league teams that have turf fields probably wish they were playing in Baton Rouge rather than the show

Hey I’m just saying; it looks like shite. And the atmosphere is garbage too. I can hardly even watch this game; from the bush league field, to the fact that I’ve heard libraries get more loud; I’d rather watch paint dry.

So garbage that it’s attracted kids to make it the winningest program in baseball, Omaha, regional, and if we win this game, super regional history. Seems like a pretty effective atmosphere to me

I'd be pretty salty to if my team just got the shite kicked out of them by Tennessee and watched the program you are currently tied with in National Titles make it's 37th trip to the CWS.

The turf is pretty bad. The stadium is a giant cement block, but it’s been spruced up on the outside and has an amazing training facility. I went in during its unveiling. It’s an excellent venue.
With that said, I think they coulda used a new park instead of dumping money into the Disch.

It’s a terrible field for sure.

But the team, program and tradition is second to none.
We might not always win, but we don’t embarrass ourselves.
37th CWS appearance. Everybody that steps in the stadium knows that. It has an inner beauty that has been appreciated for a long, long time.
Perhaps you can set up a tv in your pretty stadiums and watch someone else’s team in the CWS.
