I mean if you listen to his explanation in the “game behind the game” last night that led to the balk, he knows what he’s doing. He baited Oregon into thinking we were still going for the suicide squeeze, calling it off when he saw they were trying to fake like they were holding Beloso on first and crashing before the pitch. Eventually, it was Oregon who over-played their hand and gave up the go ahead run. He may not be as engaged due to his health as he once was, but the dude knows baseball.
